With the summer holidays approaching, Erling Haaland, Ilkay Gündoğan, and other football stars teamed up with Kellogg’s to launch their new football shirt and promote the return of Kellogg’s Football Camps for kids aged 5 to 15. During the fun-filled photoshoot, Haaland shocked young fans by disguising himself as part of the camera crew, complete with a fake moustache, before dramatically revealing his true identity. The surprise left the kids stunned and thrilled.
The campaign, supported by clubs like Manchester City, Celtic, Rangers, and 70 EFL teams, aims to keep kids active during the summer. Kellogg’s is offering over 30,000 free spots at camps across the UK, addressing concerns from 78% of parents who worry about keeping their kids entertained during holidays.
Research by OnePoll revealed that 19% of kids are active for just one hour or less per day during holidays, mainly due to cost and screen time. However, 71% of parents say football keeps kids healthy and active, 67% credit it with improving social skills, and 66% believe it boosts confidence. The players emphasized how football shaped their lives—Gündoğan highlighted its social benefits, while Will Grigg spoke on how the sport builds resilience and identity in young players.
